"We can start whenever you're ready."
Naruto: "But Jiraiya Grandpa, are you sure you want to take on us and Kakashi-sensei alone?"
"Of course."
Jiraiya thought he was pretty capable. "What's the problem?"
"Lord Jiraiya, those three may be stronger than you think."
Kakashi advised, "If you want to get a good sense of their abilities, it'd be better if I joined you."
"Sure."
Jiraiya readily agreed. "Then Kakashi and I will be a team and carry the bells. You three will try to take them."
"There's one more thing I need to warn you about, Lord Jiraiya."
Kakashi's expression was serious. "Their fighting styles are very different from those of traditional ninja. They favor quick, decisive battles, so they'll come at you with everything they've got from the start. Please stay on your guard, or they'll take you down in an instant."
"I see... Understood."
Seeing Kakashi's serious expression, Jiraiya quietly steeled himself. He took out two bells, gave one to Kakashi, and hung the other from his own waist. "Ready?"
Silence was his answer.
Jiraiya: "Then, begin!"
His voice was still carrying into the distance, and the vibrations in the air had yet to fade, when Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura—and Kakashi beside Jiraiya—simultaneously used Sealing Jutsu.
"Sealing Technique: One!" ×4
Then Naruto turned into a golden streak of light and reached for the bell at Jiraiya's waist.
Sasuke and Sakura attacked Kakashi at the same time. One blocked Kakashi from helping Jiraiya, while the other reached for the bell at Kakashi's waist, forcing him to dodge.
But Kakashi was even faster than the three of them. A flash of cold light appeared, and he had already slipped past Sakura and Sasuke to block Naruto, preventing Jiraiya from being eliminated right away.
"Too fast!"
Jiraiya's hair stood on end.
