At this point, the book was 50% complete. Compared to the steadily escalating war scenes of the first two volumes, this volume not only featured few battle scenes, but even the protagonist himself appeared only a handful of times.
Actually, before writing it, I had already suspected that this volume's overall subscriptions would probably flop... So I hesitated over whether I should structure it this way.
But then I thought...
Anyway, I was just a fanfiction author who did not make much money. Besides, this book's tone had long since guaranteed controversy. Even if I tried to please certain readers, all sorts of strange characters would still inevitably show up in the comments and chapter notes...
Since that was the case, I might as well honestly lay out the narrative and tell the rest of the story at its original pace~
That was why this volume ultimately ended up with this somewhat awkward effect.
I wonder whether all of you who had been following along were satisfied?
No matter what, the story had officially entered its second half. More foreshadowing would be answered! More major characters from the original work were about to appear!
