Three days later, a whole company of knights rode into the Bull Mountains. Clad in chain mail and cloaks, with long swords on their backs, they approached the area. The sun god's sigil was emblazoned on every knight's cloak.
An old man in a red-and-black high priest's robe emerged from the crowd and entered the valley. He saw bodies strewn throughout the tomb and the empty golden coffin. The entire underground mausoleum was in disarray.
Several filthy slaves were dragged out and thrown before the red-robed high priest. A few knights presented him with gold coins and silver and gold vessels. Among them was even the mask the Golden King had worn on his face, which the slaves had somehow managed to sneak out.
