Baris's Curtain Call and Return

Aiyina looked at Alice expressionlessly.

Alice sheepishly lowered the deck in her hands.

"W-What is it, Aiyina?"

Aiyina's beautiful eyes swept over Alice. "Do you think this is reasonable?"

"What?"

Cold sweat beaded on Alice's forehead.

"You went through thirteen cards in a single turn." Aiyina pointed at the duel table. "I had to play mine one at a time."

The key was that Aiyina's cards were basically vanilla cards.

Meanwhile, Alice's cards had effect descriptions averaging three hundred words.

This was no longer something as simple as beating up a caveman.

The key was that Alice had loudly insisted on playing five rounds like this.

"Um, I can give you some cards." Alice felt a little guilty too and scratched her head.

Aiyina shook her head. "We're not like you, with nothing to do. The Dawn Legion has to take over the Church of the Lord of Thunder's forces. We'll be busy for quite some time."

That left Alice awkwardly standing there. "Then, do you need my help?"

Aiyina was nowhere near as tactful as Anna. She immediately rolled her eyes. "It'll be good enough if you don't make things worse."

Still, Aiyina had not meant to deliberately tease Alice.

Before Alice left, Aiyina took out several small handmade items.

She had woven all of them herself.

One of the charms was for Alice.

"Give this to Mom." Aiyina pointed at a crystal pendant. "I blessed it with luck. Maybe it'll let Mom draw better cards during a duel."

"With all due respect, it's useless." Holding the crystal pendant, Alice could not help commenting, "With Fremeia's way of playing cards, even a god draw couldn't save her."

Aiyina glared at Alice irritably. "You can't say things like that out loud."
