Power Progression
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Gestation begins | 78 | Lu Ming places a basketball-sized mass of Blood Sea water into his remaining Clone Source Core. The embryo draws energy from his internal world and requires several hundred years to develop. |
| World Lord; approximately 300-fold life genes | 80 | Born as a giant nearly 10,000 kilometers tall, with approximately 300 times a World Lord’s base power. Sea Transformation produces a Blood Sea about 100,000 kilometers in diameter. |
| 3,000-fold life genes | 82 | Completes the first level of the Life Secret Manual after a few years, increasing its genetic level tenfold. |
| Perfect genes: 10,081-fold | 82 83 | Further cultivation raises its genes to perfection. Its humanoid body exceeds 90,000 kilometers, and its sea form gains substantially stronger space-time control. |
| World Lord sea-size limit: 10 billion kilometers in diameter | 84 | Repeated creation and dissolution, supplemented with 10 million Hunyuan Units’ worth of Universe Crystal, expand the sea to its current limit in one month. |
| Immortal breakthrough | 84 86 | Lu Ming begins his breakthrough after maximizing the sea’s World Lord-stage size. The 10-billion-kilometer Nether Sea subsequently serves as his resurrection pool. |
| Sea diameter: 35 billion kilometers | 121 | Lu Ming reveals that the sea is still expanding and states that it can eventually reach a maximum diameter of 12 light-years. |
| 30,081-fold life genes | 183 | Follows the main body’s successful Chaos Divine Body cultivation, crossing the 30,000-fold genetic threshold. Its sea-scale body expands tenfold before Lu Ming’s Universe Master breakthrough. |
| Universe Master divine-power conversion | 184 | Converts 68% of the sea’s divine power during the breakthrough. A newly condensed incarnation stands nearly 100,000 kilometers tall and possesses divine power at the 30,000-fold-gene Universe Master tier; the remaining sea continues converting gradually. |
Background / History
Lu Ming chose the Nether Sea Clone for survival and endurance rather than as his primary roaming combat body. After sacrificing a Source-Splitting Bead, he obtained the Twin Source Core, which granted two additional clone opportunities and accelerated gestation. He selected the Nether Sea for its enormous energy reserves and the Nine Roaring Dragon for combat power and resistance to soul-based threats. Although the Nether Sea was his first planned choice, the dragon was gestated first because the required seawater was inaccessible 52 53 54.
Obtaining the genetic material required access to the Ancestral God Sect. After acquiring a Beast God Inheritance Token, Lu Ming sent the Nine Roaring Dragon Clone into the secret realm. It reached the Imperial Seas and took water from a Blood Sea belonging to a World Lord-level prince, immediately attracting the Lord of Nine Nether’s attention 63 75 76.
The Lord of Nine Nether ultimately allowed Lu Ming to retain the water, but expressly restricted it to his personal use. Back at the Burning Sky Residence on Bauhinia Island, Lu Ming began gestating the clone inside his internal world. Its birth several hundred years later gave him both a humanoid giant and an ocean form, linked to his consciousness as naturally as his own limbs 78 80.
Appearance
- Original humanoid form: A naked giant nearly 10,000 kilometers tall, with fair, crystalline skin resembling carved jade and faint blood-red threads beneath its surface 80.
- Perfect-gene form: Its humanoid body grows to more than 90,000 kilometers tall 83.
- Sea form: Initially a surging Blood Sea about 100,000 kilometers in diameter; every drop contains the clone’s energy and, after genetic perfection, perfect-gene origin power 80 83.
- Universe Master incarnation: A newly condensed humanoid body stands nearly 100,000 kilometers tall 184.
Abilities & Skills
Sea Transformation
The clone dissolves its humanoid body into an ocean and can subsequently re-condense into giant form 80 81.
- Grants control over the surrounding space-time.
- This control is initially weak at the World Lord level and strengthens as the clone develops.
- Reaching perfect genes markedly enhances the sea’s space-time influence 80 83.
Creation
While transformed into the sea, the clone can refine energy and combine life genes to condense life or energy incarnations 80 81.
- Creates expendable energy bodies whose destruction does not damage its foundation 81.
- Can potentially produce an entire race completely subordinate to Lu Ming; this is described as a possible application, not an accomplished feat 80.
- Repeatedly creates humanoid bodies and dissolves them back into the sea to increase its volume 83 84.
- Splits into countless incarnations to investigate the laws of time from different angles simultaneously 182.
Divine-Power Reserve and Resurrection
The Nether Sea functions as Lu Ming’s vast logistical reserve and resurrection anchor 81 86.
- Allows Lu Ming to reconstruct himself after losing his main body, provided the Nether Sea remains intact 81 86.
- Supplies the energy needed to endure repeated catastrophic failures while cultivating the Chaos Divine Body 182 183.
- Supports prolonged battles by reducing the danger of divine-power exhaustion 182.
- Is not established as inherently soul-less or immune to soul attacks. Lu Ming separately relies on the Soul Suppressing Bead for soul protection, while the Nine Roaring Dragon Clone possesses the innate soul-less advantage 80 86.
Universe Cage
Lu Ming receives Universe Cage in the Origin Land after both major clones reach perfect genes. The technique transforms a divine body into a miniature universe that suppresses enemies, strengthens its user, and can be detonated for destructive effect 83.
- Its stated minimum requirement is a perfect-gene Immortal Nether Sea Clone, a 30-fold divine-body amplitude, and the burning of divine power.
- Each activation lasts at least approximately one second.
- At the stated 90,000-kilometer humanoid-body scale, eight minimum-duration uses would completely consume the body.
- These figures describe the technique’s requirements and projected consumption, rather than a demonstrated battle sequence 83.
Genetic Cultivation
- Life Secret Manual: Raises the clone from 300-fold genes to 3,000-fold, then to the perfect level of 10,081-fold 82.
- Chaos Divine Body: Takes the clone beyond perfect genes to 30,081-fold, greatly enlarging its sea-scale body 183.
- Benefits from Lu Ming’s main body sharing successful cultivation experience, making subsequent clone cultivation smoother 82 182 183.
Equipment / Items
- Chaos Source Spring — An Eternal True God-level peak supreme treasure assigned to the Nether Sea Clone to accelerate its expansion. It remains with the clone while Lu Ming’s other bodies travel into the Universe Ocean 184 185.
- Heart Source Spiritual Light — An Eternal True God-level supreme treasure that merges into the soul; Lu Ming assigns it to the Nether Sea Clone 232.
- Hand of Myriad Realms’ Destruction — An Eternal True God-level supreme treasure manifested as a phantom fitting over a hand; assigned to the Nether Sea Clone alongside Heart Source Spiritual Light 232.
- Universe Crystal — A consumed cultivation resource rather than permanent equipment. Lu Ming purchases 10 million Hunyuan Units’ worth to accelerate the sea’s initial expansion 84.
Relationships
- Lu Ming — Its creator and controlling consciousness. The clone is one of his bodies, not a separately introduced companion 78 80.
- Nine Roaring Dragon Clone / Nine Roaring — Lu Ming’s complementary combat body. It obtains the seawater needed for the Nether Sea’s gestation and later coordinates with it to protect Luo Feng 76 78 238 239.
- Luo Feng — Lu Ming’s disciple, whom he teaches, monitors, and protects through the Nether Sea Clone while his main body explores elsewhere 140 150 234.
- Lord of Nine Nether — Oversees the source Blood Sea and permits Lu Ming to retain its water under a strict personal-use condition 76 78.
- Venerable Black Cloud — Lu Ming’s subordinate, summoned by the Nether Sea Clone to carry out arrangements during Luo Feng’s Star Tower trial 150.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Guarding the Rear and Teaching Luo Feng
The Nether Sea Clone settles in Chaos City within the Initial Universe while Lu Ming’s main body explores the Qingfeng Realm. Its duties include guarding the rear, researching laws, creating secret techniques, and instructing Luo Feng. Through this body, Lu Ming judges Luo Feng ready for the Outer-Domain Battlefield and directs him to seek practical experience there 140.
During Luo Feng’s six-thousand-year Star Tower ownership trial, the clone remains in Chaos City rather than interfering with the ordeal. Lu Ming uses it to summon Venerable Black Cloud, arrange a public explanation that Luo Feng is in deep seclusion, and instruct the Lu Family to care for the Luo Family 150.
Supporting the Universe Master Breakthrough
The sea sustains Lu Ming through countless failed Chaos Divine Body experiments over two billion years of accelerated cultivation. Before breaking through to Universe Master, he raises the clone’s genes above 30,000-fold to enlarge its reserves and improve the amount of divine power converted during the breakthrough 182 183 184.
Once equipped with Chaos Source Spring, the clone remains behind to guard the Primal Universe while Lu Ming’s main body and Nine Roaring Dragon Clone return to the Universe Ocean to obtain life-gene maps 184 185.
Protecting Luo Feng on the Primal Star
The clone watches the vicinity of the Primal Star passage while Luo Feng cultivates and fights under a concealed identity. It generally avoids direct interference, instead monitoring his growth and providing a protective presence 234.
During the later confrontation involving the Machine Race Father God and Dream Monster Ancestor, Nine Roaring appears beside the Nether Sea Clone after confronting Void True Demon God. Their coordinated intervention secures Luo Feng’s safety and discourages further deployment of Supreme Being-level power against him 238 239.
Luo Feng’s Separate Nether Sea Clone
Luo Feng also develops a Nether Sea Clone. It is distinct from Lu Ming’s body, despite sharing the same name and basic sea-based abilities 104 180 216.
| Milestone | Details |
|---|---|
| Planned third clone | Lu Ming identifies the Nether Sea as the clone that will provide a decisive improvement to Luo Feng’s future foundation 104. |
| Gestation | Luo Feng obtains Nine Nether seawater after his teacher negotiates with the Lord of Nine Nether and offers a valuable treasure 180. |
| Immortal transformation | Its 10-billion-kilometer Blood Sea becomes an ocean of divine power with strength equal to 1 billion times a World Lord’s. It replenishes a newly created 9,000-kilometer incarnation within minutes 215. |
| Expansion treasure | Lu Ming gives Luo Feng the Heart of the Source Sea, a high-level origin-type supreme treasure expected to increase sea expansion speed by at least a hundredfold 216. |
| Combat support | Secretly replenishes Luo Feng’s divine power during his battle with Howl Mirror King 220. |
| Expendable incarnation | Luo Feng self-destructs a 9,000-kilometer Nether Sea body to severely injure two Universe Overlords; the sacrificed body is not presented as the destruction of the entire sea 222 223. |
