Foggy breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Luo Xia return safe and sound, and he quickly introduced him: "Luo Xia, this is Matt Murdock, my partner and good friend. Our law firm is called Nelson & Murdock Law Firm."

Luo Xia understood immediately; the relationship between Foggy and this Matt Murdock was clearly that of lifelong best friends.

However, that wasn't important to Luo Xia, so he reached out his hand to Matt Murdock: "Nice to meet you. I'm Luo Xia, just back from Afghanistan, and I work at Stark Industries."

Matt Murdock's expression was a bit tense, though he masked it well, and he shook Luo Xia's hand firmly: "Nice to meet you too. Although I can't see, I think you must be a very good person."

"I, on the other hand, think you must be a man full of justice." Luo Xia smiled, then noticed Matt's hand suddenly tighten its grip.

Luo Xia saw Matt give him a very slight shake of his head, seemingly hoping he wouldn't reveal that he was a masked vigilante.

Luo Xia had no intention of exposing him, so he kept his mouth shut and didn't continue.

Foggy was an excellent lawyer and keenly sensed that something was off between the two, so he asked curiously: "You two... have you met before?"

Seeing Matt's face grow even more tense, Luo Xia helped him explain: "I ran into Matt earlier when I went to buy baking soda, and he even gave me directions, though he probably didn't recognize me."

Matt quickly took over: "That's right, I only just recognized your voice. Foggy, you know how it is, I can't see, so it's hard to recognize people."

Foggy didn't seem to doubt their words and said happily: "That's even better! I was worried you wouldn't be used to having dinner with someone you just met."

Just then, Mrs. Cardenas walked out of the kitchen carrying a large pot: "Boys, dinner is ready."

Luo Xia didn't eat much during this meal; he really wasn't used to the taste of Brazilian food. However, the conversation with Foggy and Matt went quite well. They were both quite talkative young men, well-spoken, and skilled at expressing friendliness without being overly enthusiastic to the point of being off-putting.

This was likely a professional trait of lawyers; regardless, Luo Xia was glad to have met these two friends.

After dinner, Luo Xia said goodbye to Foggy and the others and returned to his apartment, only to find Matt waiting for him inside the moment he stepped through the door.

Luo Xia looked at the pushed-open window and decided to find someone to install a metal security screen tomorrow.

"Actually, you could have just asked to come in and see my new place. I could have even offered you a drink," Luo Xia said to Matt.

"I really appreciate you not revealing my identity earlier," Matt said to Luo Xia.

"It was just a small favor, but I think it's best not to have too many secrets between friends, especially secrets that involve life and death," Luo Xia said nonchalantly.

"However, I have a few questions I need to ask you," Matt said with a serious tone.

"Go ahead, though I can't guarantee I can answer them." Luo Xia casually took off his coat and the black watch on his wrist, then placed the watch on the table.

"Who exactly are you?"

Matt's question didn't catch Luo Xia by surprise, but it wasn't an easy question to answer.

After pondering for a moment, Luo Xia replied: "Everything I said at dinner was true. First, I am of Chinese descent, just back from Afghanistan, and I work at Stark Industries. Second, my meeting with Foggy was truly a coincidence, so you don't need to worry about me having any ulterior motives. I don't know if you'll believe me, though?"

Luo Xia originally thought it wouldn't be easy to convince Matt, but to his surprise, Matt replied directly: "I believe you. You aren't lying."

"Oh, you can even tell if someone is lying? A superpower?" Luo Xia asked curiously.

"No, I just judge it by your heartbeat. A blind person's hearing is always a bit sharper," Matt explained.

"That's not something that can be explained by just being 'sharp'." Although Luo Xia knew Matt was holding something back, he had no intention of pressing him.

"Is this thing of yours also a product of Stark Industries?" Matt asked, taking out the metal bracelet Luo Xia had given him earlier.

"A prototype. If you have any issues, you can come find me; I provide after-sales service," Luo Xia smiled.

"Thank you, this thing is very useful to me. I owe you a favor. If you run into trouble, you can come to me," Matt thanked him sincerely.

"Do I get a discount on legal fees?" Luo Xia asked jokingly.

"Of course, it's free," Matt was quite generous.

"Alright, I hope there never comes a day when I need to use that."

As the two were chatting, they heard the sound of sirens coming from outside the window. Matt tilted his head to listen, and his expression turned grave.

"Sorry, I think I have to go," Matt said, then climbed back out through the window.

Luo Xia knew Matt was off to uphold justice, so he naturally had no intention of stopping him. He turned his head toward the watch on the table: "Violet, did you record his data?"

As soon as he finished speaking, the black watch underwent a complex mechanical transformation, turning into a tiny robot girl covered in purple-black armor.

Although she was only about ten centimeters tall, her facial features were incredibly clear, even down to her eyelashes; the level of detail was breathtaking.

The girl knelt on one knee before Luo Xia and said respectfully: "His voiceprint has been recorded. Even if he wears a mask next time, I will be able to recognize him immediately."

"Good work. What about the other things I asked for? Any results?" Luo Xia asked again.

"I have been monitoring the account changes at Stark Industries. Just this afternoon, after the press conference, one billion in funds was secretly transferred out. The money was split into over a hundred parts, making it difficult to attract attention, but it all eventually flowed into several secret accounts belonging to Obadiah Stane," Violet reported.

"Moving so quickly? It seems Obadiah Stane has even less patience than I imagined. And the other matter, any leads?" Luo Xia asked again.

"According to the S.H.I.E.L.D. database, I have screened ten of the world's top surgeons; only they have the potential to perform the surgery to remove the shrapnel for Tony Stark. One of them happens to be in New York. I suggest, Commander, that you speak with him first."

Violet's eyes emitted flickering rays of light, forming a dreamlike 3D projection in front of her.

"On the road, meeting tigers and bears in Gongzhou, a madness five hundred years ago, soaring into the clouds is Sun Wukong..." The music started, and a virtual anime girl with gray hair sang a high-energy song.

Before Luo Xia could ask, Violet quickly cut the signal, looking embarrassed: "Sorry, Commander, I made a mistake. This is the one."

The light shifted. This time, it emerged from Violet's eyes. Appearing now was a doctor with a long, horse-like face, with the surgeon's name written beside him—Stephen Strange.

Luo Xia didn't even have the heart to look at Dr. Strange's profile.

That girl just now, that was Luo Yi, right? This Violet really is a hardcore anime fan!
