"Look at the situation we're in. Do you still intend to capture Luo Xia? How many people do you think Kamar-Taj will lose?" Kaecilius shot back.
Mordo looked at the Mechanical Lizards, their cannons turning, and at the sci-fi-looking guns in the hands of those hulking men. He, too, was shocked by the strength Luo Xia commanded.
Although the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj had all undergone rigorous training and were far stronger than ordinary people, they had not surpassed the limits of human capability.
Most of their spells had been designed to counter invasions from the Dark Dimension. They might not be very effective against firearms and other modern weapons.
If a fight really broke out, the robots at Luo Xia's side alone would be enough to inflict devastating casualties.
He had thought he'd only let a cat into the house. He hadn't expected it to be a tiger.
Now he was truly stuck between a rock and a hard place.
But if they let Luo Xia leave Kamar-Taj just like that, and he really did know how to communicate with the Dark Dimension, it would be like letting a tiger return to the mountains—and could lead to the destruction of the world.
With no other choice, Mordo could only agree to Kaecilius's plan.
No one had ever disturbed the Sorcerer Supreme while she was in seclusion, but this was an exceptional situation. Surely she wouldn't blame them.
With Mordo's agreement, Kaecilius breathed a sigh of relief. Then he said to Luo Xia, "Give me a little time. I'll go see the Sorcerer Supreme right now."
But Luo Xia said to him, "Kaecilius, if your Sorcerer
