"Do you know how many people will die if you don't give in to Hans? A lot of them are just kids!"
"Is this Hans really that powerful?" Luo Xia asked, puzzled.
"He's got dozens of men under him, all hardened criminals, and plenty of weapons. I also heard Hans recently threw in his lot with a rising gang called the Queen Gang. With their backing, he's gotten access to a ton of firepower. How many people can I protect on my own?" Crow explained.
Just then, the roar of muscle-car engines sounded in the distance. Five cars raced toward their hideout.
"We're done for! Hans is coming! Put me down, quick! I have to get back and help the other Mutants evacuate, or we'll never make it in time!" Crow shouted.
Luo Xia took a look through his Tactical Goggles. They were definitely heavily armed gangsters, every one of them carrying some kind of automatic weapon. Most Mutants' powers couldn't compete with the firepower of those weapons.
The muscle cars didn't slow down at all. They charged straight into the hideout, running over the two thugs Luo Xia had pinned to the ground earlier. They were terribly unlucky; they died on the spot.
A huge, overweight man climbed out of one of the cars, holding a Remington shotgun. He spat on the two thugs he'd run over, then pointed the barrel at Luo Xia. "You the Mutant who's been causing trouble?"
Before Luo Xia could answer, Crow hurriedly said, "Boss Hans, this has nothing to do with the Mutants. He's an outsider. We don't even know him."
