Ten Extremis Virus soldiers, their bodies glowing, surged forward, intent on burning their opponent to ashes.
But once again, their plan fell through. The green monster kicked off with both feet and leaped into the air. When the Extremis Virus soldiers looked up, they didn't see him coming back down. Instead, they saw a few dazzling flashes of silver.
The silver streaks flew at incredible speed, tracing graceful arcs through the air. They came whirring toward the soldiers—they were Serrated Flying Daggers, spinning at high speed. They were moving far faster than the soldiers could react.
The next moment, ten heads flew into the air. The headless bodies left behind began to lose their color and fell to the ground one after another.
A Bat-shaped Glider appeared in the air.
"Dr. Connors, I doubt the effects of my spells are much better than my equipment," Norman Osborn said to the man beside him, clad in the Green Goblin Armor.
The green monster from earlier had now turned back into a human. He was none other than Dr. Connors, in his usual form.
"I only just learned the spell. I was itching to try it out," Connors said with a smile.
Although Dr. Connors hadn't gone with the others to Kamar-Taj, how could Tony and the rest have forgotten about him after they returned? Learning the basic spells hadn't been difficult for Dr. Connors, and he'd picked them up with ease.
"Anyway, let's go join Tony. They should be done over there by now," Norman Osborn said.
"What about Bruce? Is he on the same team as Tony?" Connors asked.
"I don't think so. Tony went with Stephen, so Bruce should be on his own," Norman Osborn said.
"Why would they arrange it that way? Wouldn't that put Bruce in danger?"
