The Kree aboard the Necrocraft never imagined that their own anti-aircraft guns would open fire on them. Caught completely off guard, their tightly packed formation became the perfect target.

The Kree anti-aircraft guns were highly specialized weapons, effective against all kinds of spacecraft from different civilizations. Along with energy blasts, they fired fragmentation bombs that exploded high in the air.

The bombs weren't very powerful, but when they exploded, they created a vast zone of magnetic interference and scattered countless bits of metal.

The magnetic field kept the debris suspended in midair, where it would remain for a long time. Any fighter that entered the area would have its systems disrupted by the powerful magnetic interference. The flying metal fragments would strike its hull with the force of machine-gun bullets, and if one got into the engine, the fighter would crash in an instant.

It was as if a no-fly zone had appeared in the sky. The Necrocraft fell in droves, and more than a hundred had crashed in just one minute.

Fighters were incredibly fast, and in a war, a second could mean the difference between life and death. But now, the Necrocraft pilots wished their fighters were as slow as snails, so they could turn around and escape the death zone.

But reality didn't change to suit the Kree.

They either slammed into the no-fly zone and went down in flames, or tried to turn away, only to collide with the Necrocraft behind them.

Their pursuit had been so easy that they'd let their formation become far too dense. A gap that looked more than a thousand meters wide meant only two or three seconds of flight for a Necrocraft. If a fighter ahead suddenly slowed down and turned, those behind would crash straight into it.
