In the vast universe, there was a kind of people with no settlements of their own and no country to call their own. They could only make their homes aboard starships and wander from place to place.

Most of these stateless cosmic drifters were no saints. They were usually exiles, criminals, scoundrels, and people wanted for one reason or another.

Among these cosmic drifters, the most powerful organization was known as the Ravagers.

The Ravagers were divided into a hundred factions, each with its own inherited history and culture, somewhat like the Gypsies of Earth.

Other than lacking a country of their own, they possessed all the basic conditions of a civilization.

The Ravagers were the same. They had never ruled a single planet, yet their power was enough to make many powerful cosmic civilizations wary.

Yondu was the leader of one of the more renowned Ravager factions.

Recently, however, they had been busy hunting down a young man called Star-Lord, a Ravager traitor.

Star-Lord was a child Yondu had personally brought back from Earth and raised to adulthood. Yet the kid had always intended to leave Yondu and strike out on his own.

For this mission to seize the Orb, Star-Lord had planned to sell the treasure himself after getting it and leave Yondu's Ravager organization for good.

Unfortunately, Star-Lord had run into Luo Xia, and the Orb had fallen into his hands.

And since Yondu had been unable to contact Star-Lord for a long time, as the kid's adoptive father, he could guess what Star-Lord was up to without even thinking.

"Kids grow up. They all go through a rebellious phase. Unfortunately, he forgot the rules of us Ravagers." Yondu spoke viciously to his subordinates.
