Ego's planet was like a collection of fantastical creations from every fairy tale, dazzlingly colorful and capable of bringing countless surprises to any visitor. Yet beneath that glamorous exterior lay countless corpses, nearly filling an enormous cave.
Though these corpses came in all sorts of bizarre shapes and seemed to belong to nearly every race imaginable, they shared one common trait: they were all very young. They were the corpses of children.
Firebearer III, modified to look exactly like the Grandmaster's fleet, arrived at Ego's planet. Luo Xia was quite skilled at shifting trouble onto others.
Once the spacecraft entered the planet's gravitational range, Ego seemed to notice it. However, Luo Xia guessed that Ego could not constantly monitor everything on his planet. Otherwise, when Gamora and Nebula discovered the children's corpses in the movie, Ego would not have remained indifferent.
And in the end, Ego only sensed the bomb after it had been attached to the core of his true body. Before that, he had not reacted at all.
Thus, Luo Xia concluded that Ego could at most detect spacecraft approaching his planet, but likely could not sense what they were doing, nor could he detect minor movements beyond his life core.
Firebearer III did not remain there for long. It merely replenished supplies such as fresh water and fuel on the planet before departing. As someone who cultivated the persona of a kindly old man, Ego naturally had supply stations like these on his own planet to accommodate passing spacecraft, though long-term docking was prohibited.
The entire process looked like an ordinary passing spacecraft stopping to resupply, then leaving behind a few gifts in return.
Ego, who was beside Luo Xia, did not think much of it. Such situations were uncommon, but he had encountered them countless times
