"Those two were still wanted criminals. Why had they shown up in this godforsaken place with their men?" Luo Xia asked.
The question seemed to be directed not only at Deadpool, but at himself as well.
In the movie, Francis and Angel Dust had kidnapped Deadpool's girlfriend and brought her here, laying a trap to force Deadpool to come and die.
But now, Deadpool's girlfriend had already been rescued. They had no bargaining chips at all, so why had they still appeared here?
"Hey, billionaire, what are you waiting for?" Deadpool asked.
"Don't you think something's wrong?" Luo Xia asked.
"Isn't the biggest thing wrong with this world that my once-handsome face turned into a waterlogged loaf of bread?" Deadpool said carelessly.
"Why did the two of them show up here? It makes no sense," Luo Xia said.
"I don't think my resurrection needed to make sense either. Luo Xia, have you heard of the tortoise and the hare?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, how damn smart would a rabbit and a tortoise have to be to communicate through language? How abnormal would they have to be to race through a forest? A story was never about whether it was logical, only whether it was exciting. We live in this world as part of the story, so do your best to make it more exciting. That's enough." Deadpool had shed his usual flippant tone and spoke with utter seriousness.
Luo Xia could not help recalling something he had heard before crossing over: "How interesting will the pinnacle of mechanical civilization be in the Marvel Universe? Please give me a little surprise."
