The pressure from S.H.I.E.L.D. had faded thanks to Luo Xia's choice. The power struggle among the higher-ups had nothing to do with him.
Luo Xia returned to his home in Hell's Kitchen, feeling a little exhausted. To his surprise, Belcher was the one who opened the door.
The newly created robot respectfully asked Luo Xia, "Commander, would you like me to run a hot bath for you? Or would you rather have a late-night snack first?"
Well, Belcher was quite capable when he wasn't being sarcastic. At the very least, he was the only one of Luo Xia's robots who cared about his daily needs like a butler.
"No, thanks. When did you get here?" Luo Xia asked curiously.
Earlier that day, Luo Xia had sent Belcher to lure General Ross's troops away. He'd expected him to return to Tony's lab, but he hadn't thought he'd come straight home.
"I ran into Li Bai on the way. He was carrying a whole box of comics by himself, so I gave him a ride home," Belcher explained.
"Oh, I see." Luo Xia had promised Li Bai a vacation, and apparently he'd really gone to help Violet buy comic books. Luo Xia had no idea how he'd paid the store. Li Bai couldn't disguise himself as a real person.
But then Luo Xia seemed to realize something and asked in shock, "You walked around the street looking like a robot?"
"Of course not. I caught a mugger on the way and put on all his clothes and shoes. Then I pulled up the hood and had Li Bai turn into a mask to cover my face. I didn't think anyone would notice." Belcher sounded rather pleased with himself.
