Luo Xia's body rapidly turned metallic. Sparring with Superman, anything less than Vibranium could not have held up. If he had tried to fight head-on with a human body, even the Hulk would not have been enough.
Clark Kent had yet to experience a real battle. Facing Luo Xia's fist, he could see it clearly, yet he did not dodge. Instead, he chose to confront Luo Xia head-on.
In his view, Luo Xia must have dodged earlier because his physical abilities were inferior. Taking one of Luo Xia's punches would not be a problem, while Luo Xia surely would not be able to withstand a punch from him.
That reasoning was not entirely wrong, but he had overlooked the gap between himself and Luo Xia in combat skill. There was no need for any fantastical trick like using a small force to deflect a great one; Luo Xia's combat experience alone was streets ahead of Clark Kent's.
Thus, as they attacked each other, Clark Kent's fist had yet to land on Luo Xia when his own nose was struck first.
The punch was heavy and powerful, enough to shatter mountains and rocks. The immense force made Clark Kent's vision go black, briefly robbing him of control over his body before sending him flying.
His body crashed into an iceberg, causing its peak to collapse before he plunged into the sea, setting off a small tsunami.
Luo Xia shook his fist in midair. Although that punch had landed squarely on the other man's nose, a clear dent had been left in his own fist.
"Sure enough, even Vibranium can't compare to Superman's body in terms of durability," Luo Xia said enviously.
Kryptonians truly were blessed by nature. Wherever there was sunlight, they were gods—countless times stronger than Olympian Gods like Ares.
