The Land of the Moon could be considered a peninsula nation. It bordered the sea on two sides, connected to the Land of Lightning's highland region on one side, and the Land of Fire's continental territory on the other. It could be called the last barrier on the Land of Lightning's frontier.
After nearly a week of traveling by sea, Araki and the other two finally set foot on this land.
"Ah, finally off the ship! I've eaten so much fish I'm about to throw up!"
The moment he disembarked, Kaguya Black Bone began complaining loudly.
"As a ninja from the Land of Water, how can you not even handle eating fish?"
Zabuza raised his head and looked into the distance, but his mocking words reached Black Bone's ears loud and clear.
"Wah! Zabuza, are you looking for a fight?!"
Black Bone flew into a rage.
"We're Anbu carrying out a mission right now. You'd better keep a low profile and save the captain some trouble."
Zabuza did not even entertain his challenge, leaving Kaguya Black Bone thoroughly frustrated.
Araki found the scene rather amusing. This kind of head-to-head confrontation between the two had happened several times already. With Kisame no longer keeping them in check, both of them wanted to suppress the other and become vice-captain of this Anbu squad.
Yet their previous sparring matches had always ended in draws. Neither was willing to concede, which was why they constantly traded barbs.
Although Araki had no idea what use a three-man squad had for a vice-captain after already having a captain, he was happy to see how quickly they improved through competing with each other. So he simply ignored it, as long as it did not interfere with the mission.
