[Self-Exerting Curse Binding Seal] was a type of cursed seal technique, or perhaps a sealing technique. Its exact origins were unknown. Though it was not particularly famous in the Shinobi World, its effects were exceedingly powerful.
Once the black cursed marks spread across an enemy's entire body, they could completely restrain all of the opponent's movements, somewhat like a forced immobilization technique.
In the original story, Danzo had used this technique's delayed-cast mode to subdue Uchiha Sasuke directly, leaving him unable to move for quite some time.
If Danzo had not talked too much, insisting on taunting Itachi Uchiha in front of Sasuke and provoking Sasuke into cheating outright, forcibly unleashing Susanoo and inexplicably breaking the cursed seal's effect, then Obito Uchiha would likely have been forced to step in early and save the day.
Araki naturally did not dare compare himself to cheat-code Sasuke. Once he noticed something strange about Danzo's movements, he became even more vigilant.
After all, under normal circumstances, who would keep one hand behind their back during a battle?
Sure enough, before long, he saw fine curse marks like tiny black tadpoles crawling across the sea toward his feet.
Though he did not know what these things were, one could not afford even the slightest carelessness when fighting that scheming bastard Danzo.
His strength might not have matched the Third Hokage's, but there was no telling whether he might use some strange cursed seal to launch a sneak attack.
To be safe, Araki chose to withdraw.
But retreating did not mean he would let Danzo off easily. After opening up some distance, he rapidly swung his arm and slashed out one azure crescent after another.
[Slash Wave: Sengetsu]!
Dozens of curved azure crescents flew at Shimura Danzō with overwhelming momentum, densely packed like a flock
