Land of Rain.
The steady drizzle fell year-round in this small country, as if the Dragon King's bathtub had sprung a leak.
Droplets hung like a beaded curtain strung together by invisible threads, filling every corner of the nation.
If the ocean was excluded and only the water content of the land was considered, then this was truly the rightful "Land of Water."
Such a harsh environment made it nearly impossible to grow crops, while the rain was nowhere near enough to produce aquatic resources in this inland land.
To be honest, this country was simply not fit for human habitation.
Yet humans truly were the most adaptable creatures.
Even in such an environment, the Land of Rain had endured tenaciously and even produced an unparalleled powerhouse who could rival, or perhaps even surpass, the Five Kage—Hanzo of the Salamander!
Hanzo had been a commoner born in an inconspicuous village within the Land of Rain. The only noteworthy thing about that village was a venomous black salamander living in a nearby swamp.
And it was precisely that salamander that gave Hanzo his greatest opportunity to defy fate.
One day, that salamander, Morning, died. For reasons unknown, the still-young Hanzo risked his life to remove its venom sac and transplant it into his own body.
Salamanders were creatures whose very breath carried deadly poison. Their venom sacs gathered all the toxins within their bodies and were truly terrifying substances that killed upon contact.
Yet young Hanzo survived. From then on, not only could he exhale poisonous mist, but he also gained a new name.
A name that would one day shake the entire Shinobi World and be bestowed with the prefix of [Demigod].
Hanzo of the Salamander!
What followed resembled the story of a typical novel protagonist. Hanzo of the Salamander
