Like Shen-zin Su, the enormous sea turtle that carried the Wandering Isle in Pandaria, this island turtle was unimaginably huge and drifted with the currents near the coast of the Land of Lightning year-round.
Originally, many people in Kumogakure had opposed using this island as the venue for the Chunin Exams.
As though influenced by the giant turtle, Turtle Island was covered in dense forests, and both its flora and fauna were exceptionally large.
How large?
The gorillas on the island had fingers nearly as tall as a person, and their entire bodies stood at least twenty meters high.
