Mental Training?

After leaving the residential complex where Tang Baona lived, Xiang Kun didn't immediately call a ride. Instead, he took a leisurely walk along the road.

It had been a while since he'd "patrolled the streets" at night in a relatively lively area. Even though it was almost midnight, many of the restaurants, convenience stores, and snack shops nearby were still open. Delivery drivers were everywhere along the roadside, as were pedestrians returning from a night out or heading out to enjoy one.

During this time, after targeted training and several mutations, his senses had improved considerably. His brain's ability to process all that information had also advanced by leaps and bounds.

For instance, as he strolled down the street, his brain used information from his sight, hearing, and smell to construct an imagined, three-dimensional map of everything within a ten-meter radius of him.

Of course, the image in his mind still differed from reality in many details, but it was already enough to help him assess his surroundings.

Whenever he saw someone on the road, he would instinctively make a quick judgment about their profession and likely destination.

Take the young man who had just staggered past him. He wore a white short-sleeved shirt and dark suit trousers. The amount of sweat on him suggested that he'd probably spent the entire day working outdoors, so he was most likely a sales representative who had to travel around for work. The smell of alcohol and barbecue suggested that he'd just finished grilling skewers with friends or colleagues and was now heading home.

It had taken Xiang Kun just over two seconds to reach that conclusion.

Of course, he couldn't be sure his judgment was correct. This was only an initial "scan" of his surroundings and the people in them, like radar.
