The urban supernatural story I mentioned before had some issues with its opening, so I went back and rewrote it. I might revisit it after polishing it for another book or two, since I've already worked out most of the setting and story.
That's also why I said I'd publish a new book two or three days after the short story ended, but then took so long.
My new book, My Secretary is a Fox Spirit, is also set in an urban world, and features cultivation, demon hunting, and a little everyday life.
I'm not sure whether the pacing is fast or slow, but compared to the few genres and openings I've tried recently, I think it's pretty fast.
There's a small climax about every seven chapters. I hope you'll find it fun.
Also, since the new book has just started, updates won't be very frequent at first. If you haven't read the short story I wrote after finishing Bloodline, you can check that out too.
