In mythology, angels were divided into nine ranks.

The strongest were the four "Seraphim": Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel, representing the four elements of fire, water, wind, and earth.

Below them were the "Cherubim," representing knowledge and wisdom, and the "Thrones," representing transcendence beyond worldly things. These "higher angels" stood around the Lord, receiving the earliest "divine manifestations" and "perfection." Their titles all indicated how their essence resembled that of the Lord.

Below the Seraphim, Cherubim, and Thrones were three types of "middle-ranking angels" who fought for the "Lord," spread faith, and proclaimed martial power:

Lord Angels, Power Angels, and Might Angels.

You could tell from the names alone: the Lord's commands, the Lord's strength, the Lord's might.
