Rewritten

I only posted one chapter yesterday because I hit a wall; even after forcing out 2,000 words, it didn't feel right.

The more I thought about it, the worse it felt.

I write this book for everyone to read, but also for myself. If the plot I write doesn't give me the urge to keep reading, then I feel it isn't good enough.

I'm deleting the subsequent plot and rewriting it, changing the story to bring the main focus back to the protagonist. I will address the storyline for Lin Shen later.

I've only written 40 chapters; there's no need to spend so much ink on supporting characters. I was a bit too impatient; I should focus on fleshing out the protagonist's character first.

Let me carefully polish the plot and strive for excellence. I hope everyone understands; there will definitely be an update today.

On another note, I have a bone to pick with certain readers: could you be a little less pretentious? If the plot is written plainly, you find it boring; when I rack my brains to write suspense and twists in every chapter, you complain that it's tiring to read and that there are too many plot holes.

Why don't you just fly up to the heavens then?

I won't even mention that you're reading free chapters. Even if you paid for a massage, could the therapist hit your G-spot with every single touch?

Honestly, it's just pretentious.

If you like reading it, then read; if you don't, then leave. No one is forcing you. You complain about the food every time you eat—are you addicted to being a masochist?
