Morning Dao

Meng Qi blinked and found that he had suddenly become a child of four or five, sitting amid a large group of children about the same age on a floor pieced together from brightly colored foam mats.

Before the children sat a young teacher who looked around twenty. He held a book whose cover bore the radiance of dazzling stars, with the three words Morning Dao written upon it.

"This is one of the highest principles of civilization in the universe. It forbids advanced civilizations from passing knowledge down to lower civilizations. Lower civilizations can only acquire knowledge through their own exploration."

Ding Yi shouted, "This is an incomprehensible principle! If you told every civilization yearning for the universe's ultimate mysteries about the Grand Unified Model, they would not try to obtain it through high-energy Genesis Energy Level experiments. Wouldn't the universe then be safe?"

"You are thinking too simply. This Grand Unified Model belongs only to this universe. Once you obtain it, you will learn that countless other universes exist, and then you will yearn to obtain the Super-Unified Model encompassing all universes..."

A member of an advanced civilization who knew the Grand Unified Model answered the Earthlings' question.

To prevent other civilizations from triggering dreadful Vacuum Decay, he cautiously forbade any higher knowledge from being passed on to weak and ignorant civilizations.

"In an unknowable universe, my heart has grown too lazy to beat."

Those words voiced the feelings of all physicists and later became a famous quote.
