A Day Trip to Hogwarts

"Where was this?"

Kyle raised his head in confusion and looked at the corridor before him.

It looked a little like a castle, but it was completely different from the one in his memories. At the very least, the castle he remembered had never looked so... new.

It was as though everything before him had been washed clean with water and then coated in wax. Everything in sight was more than just a little brighter.

Put it this way: it was like comparing Sirius's sleek new car to Mr. Weasley's old ninth-hand Ford. The difference was obvious at a glance.

Even the positions of the frames on the walls had changed. Every portrait was new, and even the gold paint around the edges had not faded. Under the sunlight, they gleamed brilliantly.

Kyle was certain that this was definitely not the Hogwarts castle he remembered.

But hadn't he only taken one step just now?

"Come with me?" Ravenclaw's voice sounded beside his ear.

It was not the kind of voice that appeared directly in his mind, but one that truly existed.

Kyle had barely turned his head when he saw a tall witch standing beside him.

The witch's expression was cool and calm, exactly like Rowena Ravenclaw he had seen in the Chamber of Secrets.

"Where is this?" Kyle asked again. A thought suddenly occurred to him. "Don't tell me this is Hogwarts from a thousand years ago."

"No, this is the place you were thinking of," Ravenclaw said.

"The Room of Requirement?"

"Is that what you call it?" Ravenclaw said flatly. "This is something I left behind. You could consider it Ravenclaw's secret chamber.

"Its special nature merely allows it to recreate certain environments from my memories. So strictly speaking, you are still at school."

"That's incredible." Kyle touched
