No one knew how Moaning Myrtle had described it, but the professors arrived quickly, and they looked especially anxious.
Snape even pulled out his wand from a distance to save the time it would take to open the door... The door Kyle had just repaired was blown to pieces again in the blink of an eye.
This time, the damage was even more thorough. Nothing was left behind as countless splinters flew into the bathroom, landing on the pipes with a clattering din.
The next second, Snape rushed in. Seeing Malfoy wrapped up by pipes like a silkworm cocoon, his face turned livid.
"Do you have any idea what you're doing?!" Snape roared at Kyle. "Using magic to attack a fellow student at school... no matter the reason, this is an utterly unacceptable act..."
As he spoke, Professor McGonagall hurried over as well.
She was equally angry, but far calmer than Snape. With only one glance at the state of the bathroom, she roughly understood what had happened.
"Severus..." Professor McGonagall tried to remind Snape, but received no response.
"This behavior is a serious violation of school rules. I could expel you right now!" Snape glared at Kyle, seemingly treating him as the culprit behind everything.
"Professor, you've got it wrong."
Hermione came to her senses then as well.
Though Snape's expression was terrifying, she still stepped forward and forced herself to say, "Harry and Malfoy were the ones fighting. Kyle and I only came over after hearing the commotion... In fact, Kyle was the one who separated them."
Snape seemingly hadn't expected Hermione to say that. His expression froze, and he stood there in a daze.
"It wasn't you?" he asked Kyle doubtfully.
"Of course not." Kyle shrugged. "Harry and I are friends. Why would I beat him up?"
