"Good heavens, Fenrir Greyback!"

Professor McGonagall, who had just arrived, immediately spotted the werewolf pinned to the wall, struggling nonstop.

"Did you do this?"

"No, Kyle did," Cedric hurriedly said. "He saved me, too."

"Well done. You've rid the wizarding world of a major threat." The tension on Professor McGonagall's face finally eased into a faint smile. She had rushed over only because she had heard Greyback was here.

Greyback was probably the most feared and reviled werewolf of all, because he loved biting children, forcing them to grow up in dark, lonely environments and nurture hatred toward ordinary wizards.

For most wizards, even facing a werewolf child was an extremely dangerous matter. Even if the child's parents could accept them, other wizards would never accept a werewolf child.

As a result, once those werewolf children grew up, they would naturally join him in fighting the wizards who had once loathed and rejected them so utterly.

Greyback believed that as long as there were enough werewolves, they would one day conquer all wizards, and he had been working toward that goal all along.

Remus Lupin, for instance, had been bitten by him as a child.

Under normal circumstances, Lupin would have been locked away somewhere cramped—perhaps an attic, perhaps a basement—unable to go outside, with no friends and no way to attend school, slowly growing up in solitude.

But fortunately, he met Dumbledore, a professor confident enough in himself to accept a werewolf child.

Later, he met James Potter and Sirius Black as well.

Whatever their personalities might have been, when it came to Lupin, they had done their very best and successfully pulled a werewolf child out of the abyss.

Unfortunately, not every bitten child was as fortunate as Lupin.
