Kyle and the others' appearance caught the Death Eaters completely off guard. Perhaps they had assumed that no Aurors could possibly arrive to support this place in such a short time, so they had not paid much attention to their backs from the beginning.
Taking advantage of their distraction, several shop owners reacted quickly and began to counterattack, launching attacks on the Death Eaters as well.

"Stupefy!" Kyle blasted another Death Eater away. Just as he was about to switch targets, he suddenly noticed a cloud of strangely colored smoke drifting over from beside him.
At the same time, an indescribable stench shot straight up through his nostrils and into his skull, as though the entire world had suddenly become crystal clear.

Kyle barely managed to keep his dinner down. He immediately abandoned the idea of continuing to deal with the Death Eaters and cast the Bubble-Head Charm on himself instead.
Only after doing that did he take two deep breaths, instantly feeling much better.
"Fred, George!" Kyle's voice sounded somewhat muffled through the bubble, but the anger in it was unmistakable. "Can't you use something even slightly more normal?"
"This is perfectly normal!" Fred blinked innocently through the haze. "As the owner of a joke shop, what's wrong with using a few magical props in battle?"
"And it gives our shop some advertising too." George was similarly unaffected by the smell and grinned. "You know how things are these days. Our shop hasn't had customers in ages."
With that, the two waved at Kyle and ran once more toward the area with the most Death Eaters, pulling out even more Dungbombs.
