Fred and George thought the idea of Kyle killing seventy Death Eaters was utterly ridiculous. They simply didn't believe it.

And strictly speaking, Kyle really hadn't done that. He had roughly counted it: the Basilisk had the most kills. Including the initial ambush and the indiscriminate attacks afterward, it had taken out around thirty.

That was mainly because the Basilisk's gaze was simply impossible to counter. When there weren't many people around, anyone who saw it practically died on the spot, catching the Death Eaters completely off guard.

Norbert had only joined later. Although a dragon's destructive power was astonishing, it was still far less efficient than the Basilisk. At most, it had only accounted for a fraction of that number.

Together, they had only just surpassed half.

That was why, when Kingsley brought it up earlier, Kyle could calmly say that he hadn't killed all the Death Eaters.

Because he had only dealt with half of them. As for what had happened to the rest, Kyle had no idea.

Perhaps Voldemort had silenced them. After all, when Kyle had said the surname "Riddle," he hadn't exactly spoken quietly.

And that Muggle father had always been Voldemort's taboo. If he wanted to maintain his identity as a pure-blood descendant of Slytherin, he certainly couldn't let off any Death Eaters who might have heard that secret.

Given Voldemort's nature, he was unlikely to waste time checking them one by one. Silencing them all directly was the simplest method, and it would ensure that nothing went wrong.
