At the start-of-term feast, whether students or professors, everyone was enjoying the delicious food while chatting about their holiday experiences—except Kyle.
Because he did not like overly sweet food, yet had to maintain Dumbledore's persona, he could only use the excuse that he had eaten his fill that afternoon and sit there watching.
The whole process was agonizing, especially when the aroma of steak and fried meat drifted over. Kyle felt as though someone had started a concert in his stomach.
But he could not show it. He could only grit his teeth and endure it, and when it became truly unbearable, he could only put on an indifferent expression and take a few bites of pudding.
He endured like that for a whole hour.
Finally, the last piece of orange pudding vanished from the plates, and the clamor in the Great Hall gradually died down.
Kyle knew it was time for him to get to work again.
Honestly, by now, he had gradually grown accustomed to being Dumbledore, and he was no longer as nervous as he had been at the beginning.
Kyle rose to his feet, and the Great Hall immediately fell silent once more.
"I know everyone has eaten and drunk their fill, and you want to return to the warm beds in your dormitories as quickly as possible for a good night's rest.
"But before that, please allow me to take up a little of your time. At the start of the term, there are a few matters I must bring to your attention."
Professor McGonagall turned her head in surprise.
Both his bearing and his tone were far too similar. For an instant, she even thought this was the real Dumbledore.
But Kyle did not notice. At that moment, he was looking at everyone below
