Kyle did not know exactly what kind of relationship Voldemort and Harry had now, but he had noticed something very interesting... whenever those two got together, they always did things that defied common sense.
For instance, when Harry saw Voldemort, his first reaction was not to flee with his friends, but to hide there and eavesdrop. Even after realizing he might be exposed, he continued doing as he pleased, turning a blind eye to the danger.
That was highly irrational, as though his curiosity and recklessness had been magnified without limit.
Of course, that was only Kyle's opinion. When those actions were placed on Harry, they somehow seemed perfectly normal.
Voldemort's changes, however, were quite obvious.
First, after Harry appeared, Voldemort's attention seemed to be drawn to him at once. Like two magnets pulling toward each other, they locked firmly onto one another.
When Kyle followed Harry and the others out, he had briefly thought he had been exposed as well. It was not until Voldemort passed straight by him at the entrance without even turning his head that Kyle realized he seemed to be safe.
Voldemort apparently had not noticed that he was here too.
That was strange. His invisibility magic was not particularly sophisticated. With Voldemort's strength, all he had to do was pay a little attention and look carefully, and he would certainly have noticed the traces of magic around him.
But Voldemort did not do that. His gaze had remained fixed on Harry from beginning to end.
There was also something else. The Runespoor he had guarded like a treasure had fallen out of favor after encountering Harry, ruthlessly cast aside and forgotten.
That was quite the test.
Kyle clearly could not stand such a test. When Harry rescued Hermione and everyone rushed over to confront
