Hearing Professor McGonagall say this, Kyle understood what she meant after only a moment's thought.
"Professor, are you worried that someone might become a second Voldemort?"
"That's right." Professor McGonagall nodded. "The temptation of immortality is too great, and we cannot guarantee that the details of this hearing will not be leaked.
"If someone gets the wrong idea because of this, the wizarding world will be thrown into chaos, and we will be the culprits behind it all."
The more Professor McGonagall spoke, the more anxious she became. Her hands unconsciously clenched into fists, and the color gradually drained from her face.
It was also her fault for not thinking things through earlier. She had focused solely on helping Snape shed his identity as a Death Eater, completely overlooking the temptation Horcruxes held for wizards.
