Wendy wore a crude suit of leather armor and gripped the longsword in his hand.
He was a caravan guard, escorting the goods of the Nutcracker Merchant Guild to Kahn, the largest city in the Snow Kingdom.
This caravan had over thirty people in total, fifteen of them guards alone. Its defensive strength was considered quite formidable.
Their captain was a high-ranking warrior who had once been an adventurer before retiring. With his wealth of escort experience, they had not encountered any major problems along the way.

"Goblins ahead again. Who's going to clear them out?"
A scout up ahead called out, making Wendy shrink his neck back.
Goblins were creatures with incredibly strong reproductive abilities. Deserts, forests, islands... their traces could be found everywhere.
They were also among the most brutal and evil creatures. Generally weak, small in stature, with green skin, pointed noses, and pointed ears.
As omnivores, they could eat anything, including humans and their own kind!
Their reproductive ability was strong as well—each birth produced a whole litter. Though they were not very strong in combat, they were immensely troublesome.
