Aaron had not expected Sikong Xiaoxiao to be afraid of the dark.
Besides, the environment inside the pet beast space was actually pretty terrible.
If there had been some kind of Pet Beast Protection Association, they might even have been able to file a complaint.
But clearly, that was not possible right now.
Thus, their final compromise was for Aaron to buy a small fish tank and set it into a walking stick, while Sikong Xiaoxiao hid inside the tank.
It looked... like a uniquely designed fish-tank cane. In truth, it was pretty much exactly that.
The main thing was that Aaron thought carrying around a fish tank looked stupid, and it could easily spill water. Turning it into a crystal ball would have been much more convenient.
Unfortunately, Sikong Xiaoxiao refused to accept that even if it killed her.
After plenty of stumbling and fumbling, Aaron finally gathered all the supplies he needed for the wilderness and prepared to embark on a Beastmaster's adventure.
"Hey, hey... Aaron, where are we going?"
Sikong Xiaoxiao's voice came from within the fish tank, sounding muffled.
"I logged off once just now and found that Dugu Jian is in the Lola Region. We can go find him there, then challenge the Heaven-Reaching Tower together!"
Aaron thought it over and made his plans.
Then, a boy in a baseball cap and knee-length shorts suddenly jumped out onto the road ahead of him. "Yo, are you a player too? Let's have an evenly matched duel!"
Without waiting for Aaron to answer, he summoned his pet beast from his Beastmaster space. "Come out... Lightning Mouse!"
A yellow-furred rat, much like the one Aaron had seen before, appeared and bared its teeth at him.
"Malicious PK?"
Aaron nodded. "My pet beast is—Crimson Carp!"
