When Aaron reached Blood High Cliff, he heard the screams of the Bloodthirsty Madbirds!
Years of wandering had taught him that these monsters possessed formidable drug resistance. Even lethal poison could be vomited back up from their stomachs the moment they sensed something was wrong!
As for the trace of poison left behind, given the monsters' powerful physiques, it was nothing at all.
Therefore, if he wanted to defeat them through poison, he could not do it in one stroke.
He had to proceed slowly and methodically!
The amount and type of poison he administered each day differed. At first, the Bloodthirsty Madbirds could not sense the harm of the toxins, but gradually, the poison seeped deep into their bones.
Until today, when the final dose of venom had thoroughly detonated the hidden thunder he had buried before.
The burden had grown too heavy to turn back; they could no longer be saved!
Even vomiting up everything they had eaten today would be useless.
The Bloodthirsty Madbirds' screams now were probably because their intestines had ruptured and their bellies were rotting, the pain too unbearable.
Aaron listened quietly, with no intention of going down to draw their hatred at this moment.
He waited atop the cliff until nightfall, when the shrill cries of birds could no longer be heard.
Then, just in case, he waited a full three more days before lowering a rope from the cliff and descending to the Bloodthirsty Madbirds' nest.
The birds' nest was located upon a steep cliff, seemingly a sunken hollow carved directly into the rock face.
The moment Aaron landed in the hollow, he smelled an intense stench of decay.
Crimson-red feathers were scattered all around, along with a great many white bones.
Cow bones, sheep bones, even human bones... they lay everywhere.
