"Was that Martin's teacher?"

"I clearly went in the opposite direction, yet I still ran into them. As expected, direction has no meaning in the Spirit Realm. Instead, all sorts of inexplicable mystical connections have a huge influence..."

Aaron had sharp eyesight. He could see the golden-winged hawk rapidly beating its wings as it descended, struggling to regain its balance as it fled for its life toward the edge of the sandstorm.

There seemed to be a tiny black speck on its back.

"As expected of an experienced explorer. It looks like he should be able to escape... Setting aside the destructive power of a sandstorm at this level, the Spirit Realm information pollution contained within it is deadly enough. Getting swept into it would be no fun..."

Aaron commented, then suddenly shook his head. "It seems this teacher and student pair are having rather poor luck..."

He saw a group of priests in pitch-black, bizarre garments emerge from the black pyramid.

These priests were shriveled in build, like mummies, their faces covered by bronze masks.

They held grayish-white weapons that appeared to have been polished from stone. Though their forms were crude and primitive, Aaron could sense the power they carried.

At that moment, a black-robed priest with extremely grotesque body proportions flicked his right arm and hurled the stone weapon in his hand.

Bang!

The spear-like stone weapon struck the hawk with perfect accuracy and exploded in midair.

Countless grayish-white stone fragments pierced into the hawk's body, sending its golden feathers scattering as it let out a shrill, miserable cry.

"So transformed spirit bodies can actually bleed?"

Aaron raised a hand over his eyes, clicking his tongue in wonder.

He knew perfectly well that those black-robed priests were not human, but a special kind of Spirit Realm creature.
