Ch. 261Yang Instrument and Yin Eye, Humanity Luck
Key plot points and events
- The Red Glow Grotto elder is pressured to avenge his disciple after a Grotto-Heaven true disciple gives him an Explosive Origin Pill. Other sect leaders lay out their plans, though they are acting from desperation after being driven to Mount Liang.
- At Mount Tai, Zhuge Yangming establishes the Yin Eye, using seven bronze lamps and the Great Han’s founding Imperial Jade Seal. Li Beichen studies the ritual and sees how it links the earth veins to the Yang Instrument on the summit, which in turn connects to Humanity Luck.
- Zhuge Yangming explains that the ritual must begin at noon on the Double Ninth Festival. He and Liu Binghu leave Li Beichen to guard the Yin Eye while they oversee the Yang Instrument.
- On the appointed day, more than a hundred Grotto-Heaven Blessed Land experts attack the summit to kill Liu Binghu and Zhuge Yangming and destroy the altar. Sun Zhige’s hundred-thousand-strong army repels them with a powerful military formation.
- Yun Ze organizes 108 experts into the Heavenly Dipper and Earthly Fiend Sword Formation, briefly matching the army’s Winged Tiger. Sun Zhige then manifests a golden dragon alongside the tiger. Their combined power breaks the sword formation and scatters the attackers.
- Zhuge Yangming begins the ritual, drawing on Liu Binghu’s Son of Heaven Dragon Qi and the Great Han’s destiny. This summons a vast Humanity Luck that Zhuge channels through an array toward the Grotto-Heaven realms, beginning to seal them off from heaven and earth.
- Two elders take Explosive Origin Pills and use concealed treasures to raise themselves to Grandmaster power, but they cannot overcome the army’s Dragon-Tiger formation. Once their treasures expose them to heaven’s sight, lightning kills them. The remaining attackers despair as the ritual continues.
Character developments
- Li Beichen shows his strategic calm and formidable confidence. He understands the ritual’s structure, trusts Liu Binghu and Zhuge Yangming’s preparations, and believes his own power could defeat even a First Heaven Grandmaster.
- Zhuge Yangming is revealed as a skilled ritual master who carefully coordinates the Yin Eye, Yang Instrument, and array sealing the hidden realms.
- Liu Binghu commits his imperial authority and Son of Heaven Dragon Qi to the ritual, making the dynasty’s fate central to its success.
- Sun Zhige demonstrates exceptional military talent, controlling a vast army formation and combining its blood qi with Great Han’s luck to manifest both a tiger and a dragon.
- The Grotto-Heaven leaders grow increasingly desperate. Some are willing to die for their sects, while the Red Glow Grotto elder hesitates despite his earlier vow to avenge his disciple.
