Mihawk's voice was not gentle in the slightest, but Irene's face lit up when she heard him speak. She immediately planted her hands on her hips, puffed out the little stick between her legs, and answered happily:
"Irene! My name is Irene!"
Looking at the messy-haired child before him, who looked like a little wildling, Mihawk suddenly thought of something and said, "Answer one more question, and I'll give you all of this to eat."

As he spoke, Mihawk raised a hand and tapped his own forehead.

As Irene answered, she could not help recalling the warm feeling of being wrapped in that enormous Marine coat. A faint smile appeared on her face.
Seeing Irene's expression, Mihawk nodded slightly. He picked up the tray, stood, walked over to her, and bent down to hand it to her.
After she accepted the tray, Mihawk casually took the wine from it. Irene froze at the sight. She sniffed, stared at the wine Mihawk had taken, and could not help asking, "Um... can I trade for that too?"
Irene stared greedily at the red wine in Mihawk's hand.
"This isn't something a child your age should drink."
Mihawk chuckled, took the wineglass, and turned back toward the cabin. Seeing him leave, Irene did not stand on ceremony. She immediately grabbed a chunk of meat with her hand and stuffed it into her mouth.
A wonderful fragrance spread through her mouth. Irene had never eaten meat that tasted like this before. A blissful smile instantly bloomed across her face, and she unconsciously slowed her chewing.
