At the entrance to the warship's cabin, Borsalino stood in a fitted bright yellow striped suit and yellow-tinted sunglasses. Muttering under his breath, he slowly lowered his hand.
He had fired the laser that destroyed the cannonball.
He had genuinely thought someone was attacking his warship. Who would have expected the one attacking it to be the Celestial Dragon they were escorting?

The Marines on deck turned toward the source of the voice. Seeing Borsalino, they immediately found their backbone and cried out in unison.
"Why did you attack us Marines, Saint Marcus Ward—sir—?"
As Borsalino spoke, he leaned slightly against the edge of the cabin door, drawing out his words as he calmly asked the question.
Saint Marcus Ward seemed to recognize Kizaru. A trace of hesitation appeared on his face when Kizaru questioned him, but the pride of a Celestial Dragon quickly restored his composure. He raised his chin and looked down at Kizaru on the opposite deck as he declared loudly,
"Because your subordinates were far too lax!"
"I was reminding them that they should be more vigilant while on duty!"
"If they had been vigilant enough, they would not have been injured. My CP9 would never act like that!"

As Saint Marcus Ward spoke, he glanced sideways at the pink-haired young man who had already walked over to his side.
Hearing Saint Marcus Ward's question, the pink-haired young man removed his hat with one hand, bowed slightly, and answered respectfully,
"Yes, Saint Marcus Ward."
Hearing that answer, Saint Marcus Ward nodded in satisfaction before looking back at Kizaru.
