Garp's words made Shanks's expression shift slightly. Hearing this, Tsugikuni Yoriichi glanced at the smiling Garp, then carried Uta in one arm and headed toward the parasol nearby. As he walked, he said to Garp, "Whatever Vice Admiral Garp wants to do, I'm afraid no one can stop you."
"Please, do as you wish."
With that, Yoriichi walked away. Having heard their conversation, the still-shaken Uta poked her head out, looked at Garp, and shouted, "Shanks would never threaten world peace!"
"Shanks is a good pirate!"
Uta's childish voice reached Garp's ears. Hearing her, Garp propped his right elbow with his left hand and rubbed his chin. Looking at Uta in Yoriichi's arms, he raised an eyebrow and asked, "Yoriichi, who is this little one?"
Though he had asked, Garp clearly had no intention of getting an answer from Yoriichi. After a brief pause, he continued, "There are no such things as good pirates in this world."
"If you're a good person, why become a pirate?"
"What a naive little brat!"
"Hahahahaha!"
Garp burst into loud laughter, then ignored Uta. With one hand, he undid several buttons on his floral shirt below his collar. Then he clenched both fists, and crisp cracking sounds reached Shanks and Tsugikuni Yoriichi's ears.
"Hey, hey, hey..."
"Though it's only natural for the Marines to catch pirates, Yoriichi, isn't it a little too hasty to kill the donkey once it's done grinding?"
Seeing Garp preparing to attack, Shanks tightened his grip on his long sword, a bitter smile appearing on his face.
"Don't talk nonsense. I am me, and Vice Admiral Garp is Vice Admiral Garp."
Yoriichi walked beneath the parasol and set Uta down on Shanks's recliner. Then he went to one side and comfortably reclined
