"Filling Akainu's vacancy and joining the battlefield?"
"That really does sound like the kind of decision he'd make..."
After hearing Issho's words, Mihawk nodded slightly. He was not particularly surprised.
Having confirmed Tsugikuni Yoriichi's intentions, Mihawk was straightforward and asked Issho directly, "Now that we know what Yoriichi wants, shall we join the battlefield?"
As he spoke, Mihawk's heart stirred slightly, and his hand reached for the long blade at his side.
There were very few things that interested him. Battle was one of the things that interested him most at the moment. There were quite a few powerful people in the Big Mom Pirates, and for someone at Mihawk's level, opportunities to stake his life on a fight against an enemy were rare.
"Mihawk, do as you please. There's no need to ask for my opinion."
"As long as it doesn't go against Yoriichi's wishes, anything is fine."
Issho grinned as he spoke.
"It doesn't matter if we kill those pirates outright, does it?"
"Yoriichi visited Cake Island before, didn't he? Given his personality, it's surprising that he left those pirates alive."
"Among them, are there perhaps people who..."
Mihawk did not spell it out, but Issho immediately understood what he meant. Mihawk was wondering whether Tsugikuni Yoriichi had left behind some hidden arrangement within the Big Mom Pirates.
Whether some of those pirates had already secretly defected to Tsugikuni Yoriichi's side.
There were many people present, and some things were inconvenient for Mihawk to say aloud. He was a straightforward man, but that did not make him a fool. When it came to dealing with people, it was not that he could not do it—it depended on whether he wanted to.
"Well..."
Issho had genuinely been stumped by Mihawk's question. Tsugikuni Yoriichi had not mentioned anything like that.
