Tsugikuni Yoriichi had only just returned to Cake Island and met with Zephyr when dense footsteps sounded outside the office before the two had even spoken for long.
"Your old comrades sure moved fast!"
Noticing the commotion outside, Zephyr tilted his head slightly toward the door and said with a smile to Tsugikuni Yoriichi on the other side.
"It has been a long time since I last saw them."
"During the years I was gone, the New Marines managed to hold on until now thanks to them. I ought to thank them properly."
Just as Tsugikuni Yoriichi spoke, the door to Zephyr's office was pushed open. A tall figure appeared outside. Issho, draped in a greatcoat, stepped into the office, with Tensei at his side.
After entering, Issho turned toward the sofa. His Observation Haki seemed unable to sense Tsugikuni Yoriichi's presence, and he asked Zephyr:
"Mr. Zephyr, my apologies for barging in so presumptuously."
"I just sensed a powerful Conqueror's Haki. I was wondering—"
Before Issho could finish, Tensei, who stood beside him, stared at Tsugikuni Yoriichi on the sofa with a face full of shock. He seemed unable to believe what he was seeing. His mouth opened and closed, but no words came out. He could only tug at Issho's sleeve, seemingly reminding him of Tsugikuni Yoriichi's presence.
Yet in Issho's perception, Zephyr was the only person in the office. Noticing Tensei's agitation, Issho looked puzzled as well.
"Tensei, what's wrong?"
Before Tensei could answer, Tsugikuni Yoriichi slowly rose from the sofa. The movement made a faint sound. Hearing it, Issho turned in Yoriichi's direction and raised an eyebrow.
Only when Tsugikuni Yoriichi stood up did Issho realize that there was someone else in the office besides Zephyr.
