Sharon Lawrence's head fell into the sea, staining the water red.
The noon sunlight spilled across the ocean, and the crimson patch on the surface was concealed by the glittering reflections.
On the deck, everyone stared wide-eyed at Tsugikuni Yoriichi. Kuzan was also filled with shock; even his sunglasses could not hide his astonishment. He had not expected Yoriichi to act so decisively this time, killing Sharon Lawrence outright.
At the bow, Sharon Lily covered her mouth in terror as she watched the headless body slowly collapse beside Kuzan. Her body trembled slightly, and tears poured from her eyes.
"Father!!"
A moment later, Sharon Lily cried out in grief and rushed toward Sharon Lawrence's corpse. Just as the heartbroken Sharon Lily was about to reach him, she stumbled and fell onto the deck.
Yet Sharon Lily seemed unable to feel any pain at all. Bracing herself on the deck with her knees, she shuffled forward on them twice before throwing herself over Sharon Lawrence's body.
"Father!!" She cried out again. Though Sharon Lily clearly knew that her father was completely dead, her heart-rending cries seemed as if they were trying to call Sharon Lawrence back from death.
No one answered.
Sharon Lawrence's body was rapidly growing cold in the winter air. Sharon Lily tremblingly reached out, wanting to touch Sharon Lawrence's cheek, but her hand stopped midway.
Seeing Sharon Lawrence's empty neck, Sharon Lily could no longer suppress the grief and fury in her heart. She suddenly turned and glared at Tsugikuni Yoriichi, her beautiful face filled with hatred.
"How dare you... how dare you!!"
"I'll kill you!!!"
Sharon Lily roared, then turned and spotted the saber at the waist of a Sharon Kingdom guard. She immediately got up and rushed over, drawing his saber before charging at Tsugikuni Yoriichi.
