Success? The Might of Two Devil Fruits!

Above the ruins of Rocky Port, Mihawk and Blackbeard flickered back and forth, their powerful Haki aftershocks surging across the battlefield.

A terrifying presence shrouded all of Rocky Port, forcing the nearby Marines and pirates to retreat beyond the battlefield.

Both Mihawk and Blackbeard possessed exceptionally powerful Haki. Their several encounters this year had allowed Mihawk to gauge Blackbeard's true strength, and as their battle continued, he gradually increased his Haki output.

Though he still had not used Conqueror's Haki, his Armament Haki still overwhelmed Blackbeard's, leaving shallow sword wounds across the latter's arms.

Blackbeard appeared behind Mihawk, but Mihawk's sharp senses detected him. The long blade in his hand swiftly drew back, and with a reverse slash, he struck Blackbeard's incoming fist.

As Haki rippled out, the sharp blade left a shallow bloody mark on Blackbeard's fist.

It was not a serious injury, but the pain in his hand made Blackbeard's brows knit tightly. As if it were unbearable, his formerly beaming face turned incomparably grim.

No matter what kind of Devil Fruit it was, it often came with certain flaws.

Even the power of the Dark-Dark Fruit was not perfect. After obtaining it, Blackbeard had gained the ability to nullify an enemy's Devil Fruit powers and swallow attacks beyond his own strength. At the same time, however, his body's sense of touch had become extraordinarily sensitive.

In one sense, heightened bodily perception was a good thing. It had greatly improved Blackbeard's Observation Haki.

But likewise, when his body was injured, Blackbeard perceived pain countless times more intensely than an ordinary person.

After several consecutive close-range exchanges, even with the Flicker-Flicker Fruit's enhancement, Blackbeard had failed to gain the upper hand over Mihawk.

Instead, after Mihawk increased his Haki output, Blackbeard's body was marked with wound after wound.
