"So, you added the concept of Aromatic Silk Beauty into the Emperor Scepter. As you grow, you'll eventually be able to manifest a real plant, right?"
"That's right. You can understand it that way!"
Bai Mo smiled at the Sect Master, who had lost her composure.
Ning Fengya tightened her grip on Bai Mo's hand, then closed her eyes and took a deep breath before slowly letting it out.
"Bai Mo, for Twin Martial Souls to appear, the two Martial Souls have to be of comparable quality!"
Ning Fengya stared at Bai Mo, her eyes burning with anticipation as she waited for his answer.
Little Ning Tian had barely recovered from the first shock when her mother's words stunned her all over again!
The Wu Family mother and daughter, who had been watching from the sidelines, finally understood what the Sect Master meant. They, too, sucked in a sharp breath.
"More or less. There's no real difference in strength between these two Martial Souls."
Bai Mo gave everyone the answer they were hoping for. Whether Little Red Hair had been hoping for it was another question.
So the Douluo Continent would belong to the Bai family from now on!
"Bai Mo, only the five people in this room know you have Twin Martial Souls. I'll tell the public that your Martial Soul is called the 'Star Rail Pass.' Would that be acceptable?"
She was the Sect Master, after all. With her preparations already made, she was the first to recover and quickly come up with a plan.
"Mm-hmm, I'll do whatever you say, Sect Master! But I might need to change the name of my Martial Soul for the public!"
The Emperor Scepter wouldn't often be used in public, so it would be easy to keep hidden. As for why Bai Mo wanted a different name, it was because of the information the Star Rail Pass had given him.
The Star Rail Pass allowed him to perform ten pulls a day, with characters and items among the possible rewards.
There were six reward tiers: white (one star), green (two stars), blue (three stars), purple (four stars), gold (five stars), and the outlier, red.
The gacha had a guarantee: at least one blue character or item every 100 pulls, one purple for every ten blue results, and one gold for every three purple results.
What's more, the first ten-pull was guaranteed to include a character.
Additionally, each time a Soul Ring with a new attribute was added to the Star Rail Pass Martial Soul, a corresponding banner would unlock.
Bai Mo could only draw Martial Soul rewards from the banners.
Pity carried over between all the banners.
Bai Mo planned to use the first character he summoned as his external Martial Soul.
"Of course. I'll listen to the owner of this Martial Soul. When do you plan to get your First Soul Ring? I'll have your Aunt Wu take you, since she already knows the details of your Martial Soul."
"Today. Once I've got my Soul Ring, I can show you my Pass Martial Soul!" Bai Mo naturally wanted to hurry. There was no way he'd give up today's ten pulls.
Besides, the Pass Martial Soul didn't have any special requirements for a Soul Ring's age. As long as the attributes didn't overlap and he could unlock different banners, that was enough.
Nine Treasures Glazed Sect—Soul Beast Farm
Since Bai Mo had said his Soul Ring had no requirements beyond its attribute, Sect Master Ning simply had Wu Qingyao take him to the farm to pick one.
As for the others? Ning Fengya took Little Red Hair and Little Golden Hair away to cultivate their Soul Power, leaving them both crestfallen.
"What attribute do you want for your Soul Ring, Little Bai Mo?" Wu Qingyao asked, holding his little hand and pointing to the farm map.
"I just want an ice-type one!"
Bai Mo loved ice types.
Whether it was the pink-haired puppy who talked about love and hope, the pointy-hatted lady, or the Sword Champion of the Fairy Boat, Bai Mo adored them all.
If all else failed, the soft and fragrant Little March would do, too.
And at the very, very bottom of the list, even the soft and fragrant little boy Yanqing might be acceptable if Bai Mo gritted his teeth!
While Bai Mo's imagination ran wild, Wu Qingyao had already brought him to the section for ice-type Soul Beasts. She caught a roughly five-hundred-year-old Ice Silkworm and handed it to him.
Though a Soul Beast's age didn't affect the power of Bai Mo's Soul Ring, higher-level Soul Beasts could give him more Soul Power and help him level up faster.
"What a familiar old beast!" Bai Mo exclaimed, pulling out a small Soul Tool knife and ending the Ice Silkworm's life.
A yellow Soul Ring floated up from the Ice Silkworm's corpse.
Bai Mo sat down right there, closed his eyes, and circulated his Soul Power, drawing the Soul Ring toward his Star Rail Pass.
Two minutes later, Bai Mo opened his eyes with a peculiar expression. Never mind how quickly he'd absorbed the Soul Ring—his First Martial Soul, the Emperor Scepter, had actually gained a new file inside it.
That made sense. To upgrade the Emperor Scepter, Bai Mo had to give it enough data to process, just like training an AI.
The Soul Beast's soul was partly converted into a Soul Ring, so it made sense that a file would be created directly inside the Martial Soul connected to him.
Putting his First Martial Soul aside, Bai Mo focused on the information coming from his Star Rail Pass and realized that his first ice-type banner had unlocked!
Bai Mo raised his head and exchanged glances with Wu Qingyao. She hurriedly asked:
"How did it go, Little Bai Mo? Did your First Soul Ring go smoothly?"
"No problem. My Soul Power's reached level thirteen. Sister Wu, let's hurry and find Aunt Ning. I can use my Pass Martial Soul now!"
"Sure! Hold on tight, Little Bai Mo. Big Sister will run you over there!"
Bai Mo was lifted into Wu Qingyao's arms, to his profound embarrassment. All he could do was rest his head on her shoulder.
He couldn't lust after Wu Feng and then lust after his future mother-in-law, too! That would make him a beast.
Wu Qingyao carried Bai Mo all the way to Sect Master Ning's private room. Protected by Soul Power, he didn't feel the slightest jolt.
At that moment, Ning Fengya was supervising Little Red Hair and Little Golden Hair's cultivation with a small stick.
"You're back already? That was fast." Ning Fengya looked surprised.
"Yeah! Now that you mention it, I just realized—how did Bai Mo finish so quickly?" Wu Qingyao said, setting him down and looking amazed.
"Hehe, maybe the Emperor Scepter helped take some of the strain. That doesn't matter. I can use the Star Rail Pass now. Watch!"
Little Red Hair had heard the commotion and secretly cracked open one eye.
Ning Fengya only smiled and said nothing.
Bai Mo summoned his Star Rail Pass, then used his mind to initiate a ten-pull!
The glittering golden Pass flew into the air and blazed with dazzling light.
Even Ning Fengya, a Soul Saint, and Wu Qingyao, a Soul Douluo, couldn't help closing their eyes.
As the golden light faded, everyone glimpsed what looked like a train in the empty space where the Pass had disappeared.
Then ten cards flew down through the open train doors and hovered in front of Bai Mo.
Bai Mo waved his little hand, flipping them all over. Nine white flashes and one blue flash streaked past.
Under everyone's curious gazes, Bai Mo began collecting his rewards.
Flying Sword Model ×1, Conscience ×3, Red Soil Feed ×4, Credit Points ×100
Bai Mo was so done with this that he just stared in disbelief!
Flying Sword Model: increases the power of the next attack when used.
Conscience: restores 50 Life when used. (Equivalent to half a normal person's life.)
Red Soil Feed: can be fed to an Earth Beast to increase its fullness and favorability.
Credit Points: currency usable in most places across the stars.
The Flying Sword Model and Conscience were all right. The Red Soil Feed might even be useful for feeding Soul Beasts.
But tell me—what use were Credit Points supposed to be?!
And that last character that appeared—what the hell was this bird, frozen solid from head to toe?!
