Night had fallen.

Lin Yue and Chen Xi were hiding in a dark alley, whispering to each other.

"You got it?" the blonde girl asked carefully, as if they were trading some secret item.

"Did you think it could run away?" Chen Xi took out Rain Lord's gleaming golden Tiger Eyes.

With Rain Lord dead, the pupils had shrunk from the size of watermelons to that of lychees.

Chen Xi suddenly felt like teasing Lin Yue. She picked up the pupils and asked, "Want to eat them?"

Hearing that, Lin Yue felt a warmth in her heart.

Though her memories of their time together in the previous cycle were gone, Chen Xi was still just as gentle...

"I have the Shadow Dweller, and I'm not planning to control a second Legend for now. You should keep it."

As soon as she finished speaking, Chen Xi immediately raised the item to her mouth.

"Wait!" Lin Yue cried out in alarm. She slipped and fell against Chen Xi's chest.

"Didn't I tell you not to eat it in a hurry?" Lin Yue's voice was muffled against the fabric.

"You!" The girl finally realized Chen Xi had been teasing her.

Chen Xi laughed and chased after her. "It was just a joke. Don't be so mad."

"I'll treat you to hotpot, how about that? I haven't gotten a bite of the victory banquet you promised me."

"Back to that hotpot restaurant?" The moment hotpot came up, Lin Yue's anger immediately faded.

Amused by Lin Yue's odd ideas, Chen Xi shook her head. "Of course not. We'll go somewhere else."

At the table to their left, Chen Shuo discreetly studied Chen Xi.

He lowered his voice, while the others chatted to cover for him as he relayed his information.

"It's mainly the black-haired girl. Kas told me he sensed bloodlust from her."

Kas was the spirit of his Tang Blade.

"Bloodlust?!" Lu Shaoqi's expression turned grave. "If Kas could clearly sense it..."

Qiu Ye glanced at the two of them.

"That means she's killed at least ten people."
