Before Chen Xi could finish her nostalgic words, Lin Yue's actions the next second easily cut her off—she strode over to the dust-covered wooden bench and plopped down on it.
"You're not afraid of getting dirty?" Chen Xi's thoughts were instantly pulled out of her memories.
Lin Yue did not care in the slightest. She even bent down, bracing both hands against the bench legs. "What's there to be afraid of? I can just use shadows to stick to it for a moment. Any dust will come right off."
"Come sit already. Don't just stand there like an idiot. Didn't you call this a secret base? You don't look like you have any intention of sitting down at all."
Chen Xi smiled knowingly and fired back as usual. "Bullshit. I was still introducing the place. I was going to sit down once I finished."
"Really? Then why couldn't I tell at all?"
As she spoke, Lin Yue deliberately patted the half of a sofa propped against the wall beside her.
At the sight of that broken half of a sofa, Chen Xi could not help recalling where it had come from.
