Seeing the looks on their faces, Tang Xue tilted her head at them in confusion. "What's wrong?"
"No, we..."
Chen Xi opened her mouth, then swallowed the rest of her words.
She had expected Tang Xue to ask what had happened to the Spark Federation, or how the two of them had ended up here. What she had never expected was for this to somehow be connected to the Voyager cruise ship from the previous two regressions.
Not knowing how to answer for the moment, she looked to Lin Yue first to confirm something. "Does the list of people who can retain their memories through regressions include Tang Xue now?"
"Mm." Lin Yue nodded slowly.
"That's strange. This doesn't add up either..." Chen Xi muttered, turning it over and over in her mind until her thoughts became a complete mess.
Seeing the two of them still talking about things she could not understand, Tang Xue could not help asking, "What are you talking about?"
"It's about you retaining your memories through time regressions," Chen Xi answered.
"Time regression?" Tang Xue froze, her face full of bewilderment.
Seeing her like this, Chen Xi simply poured out the whole general sequence of events, starting from the first regression when they had met Tang Xue, then moving on to the second.
She then told her about waking up this time to find that the Federation was already gone, along with the Lamenter's arrival, so the three of them could communicate more easily.
After hearing this sudden flood of information, Tang Xue remained silent for a long time. At last, she sighed. "So that's why I thought I had just said goodbye to you?"
"More or less." Lin Yue crossed her arms.
As they went over everything, the three of them quickly realized where
