Facing Chen Xi's puzzled gaze, Lin Yue said nothing more, merely gently stroking her smooth, flowing hair.
"Hey, quit it."
Seeing what she was doing, Chen Xi laughed and swatted her hand away before lowering her head to study the map again.
A moment later, she finally reached a conclusion.
"With our current abilities, if we travel at full speed and use teleportation, we should be able to reach the Oracle Empire in about half a month."
As Chen Xi spoke, she folded the map back up.
"Let's go." She clenched her fists, her fighting spirit blazing.
Once they successfully dealt with the Lamenter, they would be able to live freely and without worry in this world.
Their dream was already within reach.
At the thought, an expectant smile curled across Chen Xi's lips. She nudged Lin Yue beside her with her left elbow while extending her right fist for a bump.
Seeing this, much of the gloom in Lin Yue's heart faded.
Her lips pressed together, yet a faint smile lingered at the corners of her eyes.
"No. Too childish," Lin Yue replied contrarily, as usual.
Chen Xi didn't care and simply kept her fist extended. "How is it childish? You're just biased against me."
"Well? Are you doing it or not? One word," Chen Xi clicked her tongue at her.
"Then I'll reluctantly indulge childish little Chen Xi in a fist bump that only used to be popular over a decade ago."
Lin Yue raised her left hand as well and slammed it against hers.
The impact was so hard that it produced a dull thud.
"Are you trying to punch me to death?"
Her five fingers numb from that punch, Chen Xi helplessly shook out her hand.
"Wasn't I supposed to leave you with a lasting memory?
