"Waaah—!"
Faced with Gu Yu's sudden attempt to scare them, Chen Xi and Lin Yue, seated quietly on the sofa, remained completely unmoved and continued scrolling through short videos on their phones.
Finding it uninteresting, Gu Yu had no choice but to stop making ghost faces.
She quickly walked over to the two of them, then plopped down beside them. "Ah~ Could you at least give me some kind of reaction? Seriously?"
"Too childish. And who could you possibly scare with that?" Lin Yue did not even raise her eyes.
"Ah, so scary," Chen Xi said perfunctorily.
Faced with their attitude, Gu Yu could only mutter under her breath while stuffing fruit from the platter into her mouth as if that alone could bankrupt them.
"Why didn't you come in and hang out with everyone earlier?" Once the blue-haired girl finally settled down for a moment, Chen Xi put down her phone.
"Because I don't know any of them, Sister Chen Xi. You know that." With a slice of watermelon in her mouth, Gu Yu's words came out muffled.
"And you know Zhu Li?" Chen Xi raised a brow.
"Oh, how is that the same?" Gu Yu waved her hands repeatedly. "I see Sister Zhu Li every day. There's really nothing to catch up on."
Chen Xi did not deny Gu Yu's sentiment. "All right, that's true."
Ever since Gu Yu had successfully become the Saintess of the Black Moon Federation two years ago, she had immediately stepped down from her post there and rushed back to the Spark Federation without stopping.
She often ran into Chen Xi and Lin Yue along the way and hitched a ride with them. Over time, Gu Yu had become the most well-traveled deity in the world aside from Chen Xi and Lin Yue.
